Stinky boot head

Challenge of the month:  wear a stinky boot over your head and pick up a dog toy at the same time.   I’ve seen it done:

We had wind blow down some copper flashing off the garage onto the deck:

I enlisted the help of my handy handyperson to put it back up:

I took an unflattering picture of her in action (not allowed to post), so she got retribution when I was defenseless (shouldn’t be allowed to post):

We had a couple of visitors.   Jake, one of Nick’s co-workers, was in town demoing Skritter to a Chinese language conference, but I forgot to take his picture, so inserting favorite boiler plate picture here:

Our physics friend Kissa spent a few days.  She prefers cats, much to dog’s dismay:

Warren Buffet and I are willing to place a 1 billion dollar wager that there is only one place in the world that has Captain Kirk, Spock, a doll sheep (real fur & horns), cactus, a toy filled skull, and a tank of fish all in the same room:

We had a master chef come over last night:

Before a captive audience, he prepared and cooked a trout in a thick salt crust:

Turned out great!  And it was his first try at this:

DogPic alert.  I held him off as long as I could, but doggy demanded it was his turn for attention.  He is 6 months old, mostly full grown (8 out of 10 lbs):

He doesn’t care much for baths:

Even with company:

He gets to play hooded Jedi master afterwards:

He is way too playful for the cat, who often tries to hide to avoid being pestered:

Cat has discovered a few non-doggy-able places he can go:

And if needed, he can pull a punch:

Ironically, here Helen is reading a NG mag cover article titled ‘Wild Pets’:

When we go for walks, the cat often comes with … can you spot him here?

Training is going pretty well:

Although sometimes it seems he is training us:

I scratched the lens on my trusty 4 year old point an shoot camera last summer, so I’ve got an excuse to step up my photo game next month.  Am planning on getting an Olympus E-M10 interchangeable lens micro 4/3 camera when it comes available in a few weeks:
